Week of Feb 24

Pretty uneventful work week.  No routine trash run this week as we have two more buildings to finish painting.  Luckily the weather held up until about 2 o’clock on Wed.  The sky clouded up and the humidity shot up…  and luckily we were done by 2:30!  we have not felt humidity since Nov?  We actually thought we heard thunder but we think it must have been something else as California does not have thunderstorms.  but it could have been in Nevada..  

We were at a store that had just mowed the grass…  it smelled soooo good. love the smells of spring, speaking of spring the birds are all singing and flirting.  we have even seen migration.  even though we have not had any rain the bushes and trees are all blooming.. not sure how they know but they do.

The weather terrorist are calling for rain all weekend.  Although we would love to see some rain, we don’t want to see it on our days off. 

Golf game on Thurs pretty good for me took another 2 strokes off last weeks game.  Eric added two strokes but chipped one in and had a birdie..  One of our interns is done on Friday so a pizza party today to wish him luck in finding a job etc.  then off to look for a new bird.. did not find one. 

we actually had a little rain Thurs night/Fri morn.  not much but enough to wet the sand.   off to Laughlin for the day.  went to see “American Hustle” it was pretty good.  of course large popcorn and soda that we could and did get refilled for home…  a little session at Aquarius and actually walked out with more than we walked in with!  that is a first since Thanksgiving…   We seen some rain in the distance and heard thunder but no real rain here in Needles. so no flooding of our streets.  although it was a bit windy with huge gusts.

Saturday we decided to try going to the Bluegrass fest in Lake Havasu City

 

the weather was not looking too good, and not too much choice on food so we headed to

both beer and food was pretty good..

Back to the fest:  we were able to see 3 bands, all were very good.

 

not sure if Eric is sleeping or enjoying the music

we had met some Canadians a few weeks ago that were living out of their motorcycles with 2 dogs..  well here are their rides!  we never found the people but the dogs were sitting quietly.

well the rains came before the final band..  so we headed out too.

Not complaining about the rain, they have not seen any since August!  it is badly needed.

Pretty laid back day on Sunday. cleaning shopping, cooking and watching the Oscar’s.
