March 3…

Wow March already!  where does the time go?  We are starting to see flowers blooming on the cactus and bushes.  they are so pretty and we are assuming that with the bit of rain we got it is helping with the flowers.  As usual Monday is our Trash day.

Tuesday we watered our trees, still 17 of the 35 are leafing out. I am afraid that the others are not going to make it. We were planning on transplanting but with the painting of the buildings it is too late now.  We had to organize the paint supplies and believe it or not but it took us well over 4 hours to get it done!  We had to move some supplies from HQ to the yard.  We were attempting to open the door of the wood working building, there was a very huge hairy black spider hanging right near the latch.  Of course I backed away a foot, then we heard this noise!  First I thought hmm… strange noise for a spider (actually I do not know if they make noises), second thought was why is the door rattling?  Eric at that moment yelled “SNAKE”!  needless to say we ran and screamed out of there.  Dave brought the snake stick to move it off of the premises.  We were about 18 inches from that damn snake!

  1. It was good to get your comment on my blog. Since you have a new blog each year, I don't have you in my blog reader. I will be reviewing your current year--a quick glance shows you are enjoying the Colorado River. Doesn't Sedona have the most beautiful setting for a town you have ever seen in your life?

    1. Hi Carol, Like you I use my blog as a diary so I change it every fall. Good thing I keep good records too. our boss this week asked that we record not just our hours but we did since we arrived here! the blog made it easy to "remember" what we did at work.
and yes Sedona is beautiful. we have been lucky that we are able to travel and enjoy this beautiful country.
