Saturday Feb 15, 2014. We got up early to go on a bird walk in Lake Havasu City. But again the internet has not been updated and there was no bird walk. This has happened too many times. Not sure if I don’t know how to read the info or if they don’t keep it updated. so we headed to Bill Williams Wildlife Refuge to look for the blue footed booby and the barrows goldeneye. but we did not find either… we did see lots of grebes including these two males were showing off for a female, it is such a beautiful place to walk around.
Next off to the Desert Bar, we tried to go two weekends ago when we were coming from Phoenix but did not make it far enough. this week we just keep driving until we came upon it. its about 5 miles north of Parker and 35 miles south of Lake Havasu City, off of Hwy 95 on a gravel road for about 5 miles. up in the mountain.
it was a really fun place to visit. they had lots of good looking food and $3 beers. lots of people and good music. Rose W. would love it but not sure if anyone else would.
back to LHC for the Rockabilly Fest. car show and pin up contest. at first we could not figure out why the girls were all dressed in heels, big hair do’s and fancy dresses. Some kind of pin up contest. it was fun to see the girls, listen to the band have a bite to eat and enjoy the wonderful weather on the lake

even though we did not get a new bird it was a wonderful day.
