Post Thanksgiving in Las Vegas

Began our Friday with a bird walk in Henderson.  Lots of ducks on the ponds.  It was a beautiful morning to walk in the sunshine and cool temperature.  We then met up with Cousin Patti Cook and Alison from Dallas/Fort Worth area for a drink

so much to talk about and so little time..  but so glad we got to hook up with them for a bit.

then off to meet up with the Gang for a bit of talking and eating at Sam’s Town.

Another wonderful day to be Thankful.

Saturday: met up with Kathy and John Castro for Breakfast at:

Picked up Roberta and John Gaskill for a walk at the Clark County Wetlands.  Afterwards we stopped at Longhorn casino for a lesson on Blackjack.  They have $2 tables there, and we lucked out, it was empty so the four of us sat down put our $20 on the table and played for about an hour.  We all ended up winning!  from $15 to $30!  how fun that was.

dinner was at the Tropicana hotel Bacio Italian Restaurant  the food and service was marvelous.  I had the shrimp risotto:

Sunday: another sunny day  with temps in the 60’s so we headed to Valley of Fire State Park just north of LV.  My pictures does not do it justice, so beautiful and surreal.

met up with the gang for dinner and goodbyes..  we sure had a fun Holiday weekend. We cherish our time with friends and are so Thankful that we can meet up every year.  Rumor has it that next year we will meet in Palm Springs….

Monday Dec 2, we are heading to Palm Springs (well actually Cathedral City) for the month!  will be glad to settle down for a while and maybe lose a few of our holiday pounds.
